Flashback Friday: Dapper Chaps

Here are Basil and Parsley looking rather fetching in their matching polkadot walking jackets.

This is in the garden of our previous property. We only lived there for about 6 months, so were reluctant to let the boys roam from there, as we'd be moving again so soon. The solution - these gorgeous jackets, and leads. As you can see, they were happy enough.

I suspect if I tried to put one of these on Basil now though, he'd have my face off.

Basil's week

Not a huge amount to report this week. Basil has been indoors a lot, disgruntled by the sudden, if tardy arrival of proper autumnal weather. Other than that, he got involved in a swearing match with a cat over the road at 1am, and has been resisting all attempts to have his claws trimmed.

That's about it. Here are some photos, on no particular theme...

Flashback Friday: Ol' Green Eyes

A blast from the past. Here's Parsley showing off his gorgeous green eyes to full effect.

Not sure how to define his expression here... Smug? Sardonic? Enigmatic? He's like some sort of feline Mona Lisa.

Post holiday blues / snooze

We've been away for a week, and Basil has spent his holiday with kindly relatives in Oxfordshire. He spent most of the week sulking about not being allowed outside. He was rather relieved to be home, I think.

Since we got back yesterday, after a thorough perimeter check, he's been lounging about in all his favourite places:

Then he went for a really deep sleep, he looked like he was in a coma:

And was rather startled when we woke him up:

Despite claiming to have not enjoyed his holiday, we can clearly see signs of the post holiday blues in evidence:

I know how you feel mate.

Flashback umm... Sunday

We've been away, enjoying unexpected good weather in Cumbria, so this is a couple of days late. Here's Basil's worried face, from his younger days:

Basil: The most handsome cat in the universe

It cannot be disputed.

He's sexy and he knows it.

Flashback Friday: A Snuggle with Parsley

For those that don't know, back in April we lost our Bengal cat, Parsley, to Lymphoma, aged just 3 years.

Here's what I miss the most:

Flashback Friday: Cat Train

Another one from the vault...

This is in our old flat on Mare Street. Just look at the sunlight streaming in that window! Gorgeous. Parsley's definitely got the prime spot this time.
